OUR IMPACT 2023:
Growing Stronger Together
Since our founding in 1894 as a free kindergarten for immigrant families, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House has been helping our East Side neighbors to grow and thrive in our community.
Today, 130 years later, our work remains essential as we continue to feed, shelter, educate and advocate for thousands of New Yorkers each year who depend on our life-changing programs.
As an integrated settlement house equipped with a diverse and dedicated staff—social workers, teachers, mental health professionals, chefs, artists, care managers, lifeguards and more—our comprehensive continuum of care addresses the holistic needs of our clients. The neighbors we serve, each with their own strengths and aspirations, include older adults, children, families, homeless and formerly homeless adults, recent immigrants, adult learners and more.
We wish to thank you, our Neighborhood House community, for being critical partners in our impactful and enriching programs. Your dedication and support are paramount and help us to impact so many lives.
We are so grateful for your partnership and support!

OUR IMPACT is measured and quantified by our four-person Data, Evaluation and Performance Management team and the essential work they do to track and improve our 130-year-old organization. We work on our own and in collaboration with academic experts to measure not just the numbers but our true results—one client at a time, one program at a time. Using data analytics, qualitative evaluations and logic models, we examine our progress, recalibrate our efforts and give our teams the information they need to manage and execute more effectively so we can devise solutions that work in the real world and meet the existing and emerging needs of our clients.
We are proud to have earned the 2023 Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid/GuideStar, the world's largest source of information on nonprofit organizations.
