OUR IMPACT 2025
Strength in Community
Since our founding in 1894 as a free kindergarten for neighborhood families, Lenox Hill Neighborhood House has continued to build a stronger, more connected East Side community where New Yorkers of all ages can grow and thrive.
Today, 132 years later, our work has never been more vital as we remain steadfast in our mission to educate children, feed and advocate for our neighbors, fight against injustice, and strengthen and support thousands who depend on us each day.
The neighbors we serve, each with their own strengths and aspirations, are older adults, young children, families, unhoused and formerly unhoused adults, recent immigrants, adult learners and others seeking support. As an integrated settlement house equipped with a diverse and dedicated staff—social workers, teachers, mental health professionals, chefs, artists, care managers, lifeguards and more—our comprehensive continuum of care addresses the basic and holistic needs of our community.
We wish to thank you—our clients, supporters, volunteers, partners and friends—for being a pivotal part of our mission. We could not do this essential work without you.
Thank you for your partnership and support!

OUR IMPACT is measured and evaluated by our Data, Evaluation and Performance Management team. We work internally to measure not just the numbers but our true results—one client at a time, one program at a time. Using data analytics, qualitative evaluations and logic models, we examine our progress, recalibrate our efforts and give our teams the information they need to manage and execute more effectively and devise solutions to meet the existing and emerging needs of our clients and community.
We are proud to have earned the 2025 Platinum Seal of Transparency from Candid/GuideStar, the world's largest source of information on nonprofit organizations. This Platinum Seal is the highest level of recognition and demonstrates Lenox Hill Neighborhood House’s commitment to measuring progress and results. Click here to view our Candid/GuideStar profile.
